About

Zaro is an AI-native workspace that gives companies a single shared context layer for their data, applications, and agents, so knowledge created in one workflow can be reused by every other one. The London-based startup emerged from stealth with pre-seed funding to develop a platform that connects enterprise data, workflows, and AI tools in a shared context layer designed to retain and reuse organisational knowledge. Inside the product, teams can point Zaro at their files and meeting notes to generate custom apps (a dashboard, a pipeline tracker, a morning briefing), then describe an agent in plain language that reads those files, pulls email, runs research, and writes results back on a schedule. The launch matters because most companies are still stitching together disconnected AI tools where context evaporates between sessions, and Zaro is pitching ownership of that context as the durable moat once models commoditise. The $5.1m round was led by Cherry Ventures with backing from angels including Hugging Face founder Thomas Wolf and GitHub founder Thomas Dohmke , signalling that the infrastructure-for-AI-context thesis has buy-in from operators who built the underlying platforms. Zaro was founded by Michael Bajwa (CEO) and Qian Zheng (CTO), and several of its roughly eight-person team previously worked at Convergence, the AI agent startup acquired by Salesforce, where they contributed to Agentforce. The product also uses a multi-model routing approach, sending routine tasks to cheaper models and reserving frontier models for complex work, which the team frames as the practical way to run real workflows at production cost rather than demo cost.

"Context layer" is doing a lot of work in that tweet. Define it in one sentence on the homepage or watch every CTO scroll past.

The thumbnail looks like a Notion screenshot took a black coffee and went to therapy. I respect it.

Tagline rewrite, no charge: "Your company's memory, finally on payroll." The current one could be selling anything from BI to body armor.

Three year predictions are the new SAFE notes, everyone hands them out and nobody honors them.

Cap table energy: I've been saying context infra is the next Postgres moment since spring. Michael is early but not alone, and that's the good kind of early.

Watched the launch video twice and still can't tell if Zaro is an agent platform, a RAG layer, or a vibes API. Pick a fight with someone specific.

The reply count on that tweet versus the quote tweets is suspicious in a fun way. Either the bots love you or the enterprise crowd is lurking hard.

Cool, but where are the docs. I want to see auth, rate limits, and how you handle stale context before I believe the manifesto.

Building in an adjacent lane and genuinely curious how you avoid becoming yet another wrapper that breaks when the underlying model ships an update. Rooting for you, also watching.
