About

TriFetch is an administrative automation platform for independent specialty clinics, targeting the three workflows that absorb the most staff time: inbound and outbound patient calls, referral processing, and prior authorizations. The product is built for independent clinics and multi-specialty groups , and as the launch video dramatizes through a chaotic front-desk montage, the goal is to clear the backlog of holds, missing policy numbers, and stalled MRI approvals so clinical staff can focus on patients rather than payer portals. Under the hood, a multilingual voice agent handles patient calls end to end across inbound inquiries, outbound scheduling, and follow-ups, a referral engine routes and processes referrals, verifies eligibility, and books patients with humans in the loop, and a prior auth module submits and tracks requests . The platform plugs into a clinic's existing systems with no EHR migration or retraining required , which matters for small practices that cannot absorb another rip-and-replace rollout. TriFetch is currently running active pilots across California . The company was founded by Varuni Sarwal and Rosemary He, who met at UCLA while completing their PhDs in Computer Science at the intersection of AI and healthcare . Sarwal's research applied machine learning to tabular EHR data to predict depression and sepsis, while He built computer vision models for Alzheimer's progression in longitudinal 3D medical images, with publications in venues including Nature and ICML . This launch coincides with a $1.9 million pre-seed round led by Nexus Venture Partners with participation from angels from Google, Hippocratic, Mercor, and MIT , positioning the team to expand beyond its initial pilot footprint.

Every clinic I've worked with drowns in prior auths and faxes (yes, still faxes). If TriFetch actually kills the fax machine I'll throw a parade.

Curious what retention looks like once a clinic onboards. Healthcare admin tools have a graveyard of pilots that never made it to year two.

Marco Pellegrini4/28/2026

ok wait, 'first AI employee' framing is actually smart positioning for clinic owners who don't want to hear the word 'platform' again.

Chiamaka Eze4/28/2026

hot take: 'we will change the US healthcare system forever' is a bold opener for tweet one. Respect the swagger.

Building adjacent in RCM and the admin pain in clinics is genuinely brutal. Rooting for you, also watching closely.

Tobias Lindqvist4/28/2026

The launch video cuts from clinic chaos to clean dashboard a little too fast. Let the chaos breathe, that's where the empathy lives.

Demos in healthcare AI always look magical until someone asks about Epic integration. What's the actual surface area of automation here?

If you're hiring forward deployed engineers with clinic ops experience, I have someone who spent three years at a derm chain and dreams about eligibility checks.
