About

Slashy is an AI email client for Gmail and Google Workspace that aims to make checking the inbox optional. The pitch behind this launch is to move the user from constant inbox monitoring to a push model, where the product reads incoming mail, decides what actually needs a human, and pings the user only when something does. Auto-labels and organizes the inbox, sorting Primary, updates, and newsletters instantly, with calendar-aware drafting that detects scheduling intent and suggests available time slots . Other features include a full calendar alongside the inbox, AI-powered search across all email, keyboard navigation, mobile alerts and summaries, meeting prep, receipt forwarding, and VIP alerts . The target user is operators and founders who live in Gmail all day. The team previously found themselves spending hundreds of hours on busywork like scraping LinkedIn profiles, updating spreadsheets, and updating investor reports, and the breaking point came when one founder realized he was spending four hours a day in Gmail . That context shapes the product. Slashy reads the inbox the way a chief of staff would, figuring out who is writing, what they want, and what the user actually needs to do about it , and it leans on integrations with tools like Gmail, Calendar, Notion, and Sheets plus a CRM tie-in that pushes deals, contacts, activities, and meeting notes into Attio automatically. Slashy is a YC S25 company based in San Francisco , co-founded by Harsha Gaddipati, Dhruv Roongta, and Pranjali Awasthi. This launch matters now because the inbox-assistant category is crowded with summarizers and triage layers, and Slashy is staking out a more aggressive position by trying to replace the act of opening email itself, backed by direct integrations with the CRMs and workspaces that operators already use.

The tweet copy is good but 'You never need to open your inbox unless Slashy tells you' is a wild trust fall on day one. I want to believe, but my boss's 'urgent' is your model's 'meh.'

Watched the launch demo twice. Did anyone else notice the inbox count goes from 247 to 12 with a cut in the middle? Editing magic or actual triage?

Cute pitch, but what's the retention story when a single missed escalation makes someone rip it out? Email clients are graveyards for a reason.

Honest question from someone who barely uses Gmail shortcuts: what happens when Slashy is wrong and hides something my CEO sent? Does it learn or do I just get fired?

Before procurement even looks at this: SOC2, SSO, data residency in EU? Otherwise it's a personal productivity toy and that's fine, just say so.

Roadmap suggestion nobody asked for: let Slashy draft the reply AND schedule the follow-up if I ignore it for 48 hours. Half a product otherwise.

Superhuman walked so this could... do the same thing with a different color palette? Tell me what's actually new under the hood or I'm filing this under 2019.
