About

Sherpa is an autonomous conversion rate optimization tool for growth and marketing teams who run their company website. After installing a single snippet, it watches how visitors behave, identifies where people drop off, and then designs, ships, and A/B tests new page variants on its own, including layout changes, copy edits, animations, and visual tweaks. Customers typically see a 15-20% lift on their primary conversion metric in their first 30 days , which is the pitch behind this Y Combinator launch. The launch is anchored to a real customer story. Sherpa was used on Lindy's website to ship 40 experiments in 30 days and lift conversion by 30%, which the team turned into a short film as the launch video. The traction matters because most growth teams still treat experimentation as a manual project that requires marketers, designers, and engineers to coordinate for weeks per test, leaving the majority of pages on most sites under-optimized. Sherpa is built by co-founders Ethan Kinnan and Norbu Sonam , a two-person team based in San Francisco. Norbu was previously a software engineer at Lindy, where he worked on onboarding optimization and computer use, and at Microsoft on Copilot image generation and Microsoft Designer , experience that informed the agent's approach to running experiments end to end rather than just suggesting them.

40 experiments in 30 days is either heroic or a great way to gaslight your own analytics dashboard. Curious which one Lindy got.

A movie. For a CRO tool. The bar for launch videos is now in low earth orbit and I am here for it.

Zane Okonkwo4/27/2026

genuinely inspired, my launch is in 3 weeks and now I have to go reshoot everything because apparently we're doing cinema now.

Devgan4/27/2026

ok wait, one line of code and it just starts running experiments on your live site? that is either the dream or a Friday afternoon outage waiting to happen.

Junichi Park4/27/2026

How does this play with existing analytics stacks though. If I'm already in GA4 plus Amplitude plus Mixpanel, where does Sherpa actually sit in the pipeline.

Mireille Okafor4/27/2026

The pacing on that launch video is genuinely tight. Whoever edited it understood that nobody watches past 12 seconds unless something happens.

Tomasz K.4/27/2026

Already telling my portfolio companies to look at this. Conversion lift stories sell themselves to every B2B founder I talk to.

Kai Brennan4/27/2026

CRO as a category has been picked over for a decade. One case study with one customer is not a market, it's a testimonial.

Hiroshi Tanabe4/27/2026

hot take: autonomous experimentation is just a polite way of saying your PM is getting replaced by a cron job. fine by me honestly.

Yael Ben-Ari4/27/2026

Polite ask: any chance one of the founders would chat about how the agent decides which experiments are worth running? Working on a piece about agentic CRO.

kerningkid4/27/2026

The thumbnail has the founders staring into middle distance like it's a Christopher Nolan trailer. Respect, but the type weight on the title card is doing too much.

Chioma A.4/27/2026

Are Ethan and Norbu hiring? Got a forward-deployed eng who shipped CRO tooling at a Series B and is quietly looking.

Wendell Lee4/27/2026

Is this just VWO with vibes? Asking earnestly, last time I touched conversion tooling Optimizely was still cool.

Renata Volkov4/27/2026

Imagine paying experiment results out onchain so the agent has skin in the game. I'll see myself out.

Anaya Krishnan4/27/2026

This is the third agentic-CRO launch I've clocked this quarter and easily the best produced. The movie format is going to get copied within a week.
