About

Poetic is an enterprise AI platform aimed at the long, multi-hour back-office processes that big companies still run by hand, things like insurance underwriting, supply chain operations, and financial compliance . Its system ingests a firm's procedures, training videos, and expert feedback, runs processes end-to-end, and, the company says, repairs itself when the underlying software changes. The pitch behind "turn your business into software" is concrete: operators define workflows in plain English using Poetic's own programming language, and the system converts that into deterministic, near-tokenless execution under the hood , which is how the launch tweet's claim of high accuracy at a fraction of typical agent token costs holds together. The launch matters now because Poetic is coming out of stealth alongside a $50M Series A at a $500M valuation, backed by OpenAI, Founders Fund, and Kleiner Perkins , and lands in a crowded enterprise automation category with named deployments at SoFi, AIG, and Chime . According to lead investor Kleiner Perkins, the company reached an eight-figure run rate and became profitable in 2025 with just four people , an unusually lean profile for a company selling into regulated financial services. Poetic was founded by Markie Wagner, a former Google and Waymo machine-learning engineer who previously ran the AI consultancy Delphi Labs . Buyers evaluating the launch should weigh the architectural bet (a domain-specific language for AI workflows aimed at reliability and cost) against the open questions a skeptical press has already flagged, namely that Poetic has disclosed little about how the system actually works, the kind of opacity that matters most when the pitch is automating regulated, high-stakes decisions . For founders and operators in finance, insurance, and ops-heavy industries, this is a launch worth tracking as a test of whether deterministic, language-defined workflows can outcompete general-purpose agents on accuracy and unit economics.

99%+ accuracy on multi-hour tasks is the kind of claim that needs a benchmark link in the second tweet, not the eighth. Where is the eval card?

10x fewer tokens than agents is a great line, but agents compared to what, last Tuesday's LangChain build? Define the baseline or it's vibes.

The tweet got cut off mid Fortune so I assume Poetic also turns your launch copy into a cliffhanger. Bold marketing choice.

Watched the launch video twice. The pacing is clean but the voiceover sounds like it's trying to sell me a Calvin Klein fragrance, not enterprise automation.

ok wait, 'turn your business into software' is genuinely the best tagline I've seen this quarter. Whoever wrote that deserves equity, not a bonus.

Lola A.6/11/2026

Counter to Priya, the tagline is cute but 'into software' undersells it. 'Run your business on autopilot' or 'Your ops, compiled' hits harder.

Before I forward this to my CIO: SOC2 Type II, SSO via Okta, data residency options? Or is this still a 'book a call' situation?

Every 'executes complex multi-hour tasks' demo I've ever seen was a pre-recorded happy path with three retries off-camera. Show me a livestream against a fresh Fortune 500 workflow.
