About

Playad is a multi-agent AI platform that runs paid advertising end to end, handling creative direction, A/B test design, asset generation, launching on Meta and Google Ads, and learning from results to inform the next round. The product is aimed at in-house marketing teams and direct-to-consumer brands that would otherwise rely on an agency or a large creative ops headcount, and it works conversationally, taking instructions like "make five new creatives for my brand and upload them to Meta and Google Ads." The company is built by GIGR, which raised $5.4M in pre-seed funding to build multi-agent AI marketing workflows. This launch matters because it marks Playad's expansion beyond its initial wedge. GIGR's product Playad first launched in 3Q 2025 focused on interactive ads, formats widely used in gaming because they often drive higher conversion at lower CPI by letting users experience the product. The paid ads agent positions Playad as a broader system for image, video, and interactive creative across performance channels, with scheduled reporting delivered to email or Slack and a stated focus on brand-specific output rather than generic AI-generated assets. The founding team includes Jay Jaeyeon Cho as co-founder and CEO, who previously headed the AI game studios at Bagelcode and played a key role in growing the company to 50M+ users and roughly $70M in annual revenue , alongside co-founder Steve Nam Hyuk Chung, who has over a decade of experience across investment banking, strategy, and business development, including roles at Bank of America, PlayStation, YouTube, and 20th Century Fox , and co-founder Jayden Hyun Jae Park on engineering, previously a tech lead at Devsisters . The remaining founders, Simon, Arthur, Daniel, and Youn, bring engineering training from Stanford and POSTECH , with Youn Hwang fronting the launch video.

The cold open with the dashboard scrub is clean, but that voiceover sounds like it was recorded inside a Tupperware. Get a Shure SM7B before round two.

Was the demo live against real ad accounts or pre-rendered footage? Asking because 'AI runs your paid ads' fails very loudly when the Meta API decides to nap for 6 hours.

Before I tweet 'interesting' I need to know what happens on month 3 when the creative fatigues and CAC doubles. Does the AI just shrug or does it actually rebuild the funnel?

Calling it 'the world's first AI marketing team' is a bold flex when half my timeline shipped an AI marketing agent last Tuesday. Love the confidence though.

Curious what the attribution model looks like under the hood. If it's last-click pixel data feeding the agent, you're basically letting it grade its own homework.

Pricing page says 'contact us' which is founder-speak for 'we will charge you whatever your CMO's face suggests you can afford.'

Next up: AI to read the AI's reports so I don't have to. Roadmap that one for me.
