About

Natural is a fintech company building the infrastructure powering agentic payments , giving developers a set of primitives their AI agents can call to actually move money. The launch video describes the product surface as composable building blocks for storing balances, sending or requesting funds, issuing cards, and processing payments through a single API, tool call, or prompt, with Natural handling the underlying compliance and financial plumbing. The audience is any team shipping autonomous agents that need to transact on behalf of users or businesses, from procurement bots to sales and finance workflows. This launch marks Natural's $30 million Series A at a $150 million post-money valuation , led by Forerunner Ventures. It follows a $9.8 million seed round co-led by Abstract and Human Capital, with participation from Forerunner Ventures, Terrain, Restive Ventures, Genius Ventures, and a coalition of prominent tech founders and operators, including Zach Abrams (CEO, Bridge), Immad Akhund (CEO, Mercury), Eric Glyman and Karim Atiyeh (CEO of Ramp) and others. To promote the raise, the team is running a stunt where their own agent distributes $100,000 to new signups in amounts between $5 and $10,000, which doubles as a live demo of agent-initiated payouts. The company was founded by Kahlil Lalji (CEO), Eric Wang, and Walt Leung and is based in San Francisco. Per Natural's own about page, it was incorporated on August 12th, 2025, inspired by a 15-page memo Kahlil wrote that summer. Within 72 hours of sharing the memo, Natural raised a $10M seed round , and it is now graduating to Series A less than a year in. The timing matters because agent frameworks are moving from demos to production this year, and existing card and ACH rails were not designed for software principals initiating transactions on their own.

Giving away 100k via your own agent is either the most brilliant demo or the fastest way to teach an LLM about Nigerian princes. Bookmarking to see which one it becomes.

The tweet buries the actual product under the giveaway hook, which is smart for engagement but the pinned reply better explain what agentic payments even means to a normal dev.

Watched the launch video twice and I still cannot tell if the agent decides the amount or if it's a random number generator with extra steps.

Every payments infra startup this year has claimed to be for agents. At some point the agents themselves need to start writing the pitch decks.

Cute stunt but the funnel is going to be flooded with bots pretending to be agents pretending to be users. Curious how they filter that in the first 24 hours.

Naive question: if the agent sends me $10k and I never sign up for anything else, is that a customer acquisition cost or a donation?

The thumbnail composition is doing a lot with a little, but that gradient on the CTA card is fighting the logo mark. Kern it tighter and I'll stop complaining.

Somewhere in a Mountain View basement a PM is muttering that they built agentic payouts inside a checkout flow six years ago and nobody used it. Anyway, good luck.

Feels like the last payments company we'll see launch without an on-chain settlement layer under the hood. Someone in the replies is about to suggest a token, watch.

Called it.
