About

Mio is a Slack-native AI coworker that lives inside the channels a team already uses. Users tag @mio to hand off recurring work like answering questions about company context, preparing meetings, shipping weekly briefs, and taking action across integrations including Notion, Linear, Google Workspace, GitHub, and HubSpot. In the launch video, the team describes using it for bug fixes, user behavior analysis, flagging accounts at risk of churn, and optimizing ad campaigns. The launch marks Mio's emergence from stealth alongside a €1.9 million ($2.2 million) pre-Seed round co-led by Topology.vc and Fabric.vc, with Casey Caruso and Windy Chester leading their firms' checks. Founded in 2025 by repeat entrepreneur Arthaud Mesnard , the Paris-based company positions Mio as a colleague that connects to existing tools, learns how a company operates over time, and executes work rather than only suggesting it. Mio is model-agnostic, combining different AI models for different tasks rather than locking customers into a single provider. The timing matters because agent products are moving from standalone chat interfaces into the surfaces where work already happens, and Slack is a natural entry point for that shift. Mio reports that over 100 companies, from early startups to Series B scale-ups, are already using it daily , and early-access customers save an average of 8.2 hours per week through workflows like morning briefs, meeting recaps, CRM updates, reporting, and engineering tasks. It is free to start at mio.xyz.

130 hours saved for a team of how many though. That's the number that actually tells me if this ships or if it's a demo reel.

The tweet is doing a lot with very little, which I respect, but I'd have led with the 130 hours in the first line instead of burying it under the raise.

Per-seat or per-message pricing is going to matter a lot here. Slack coworkers that ping too much get expensive fast, both in dollars and in vibes.

"Your best hire yet" is fine but "the hire that doesn't ask for equity" was right there.

A coworker that doesn't microwave fish in the office kitchen. Instant 10x.

Building something adjacent in the async ops space and honestly the Slack-native angle is smart. We went email-first and I question that choice weekly.

Been watching Arthaud cook on this for months. The distribution instinct here is criminally underrated.

Curious what the underlying orchestration looks like. Is this a single agent with tool use or a supervisor pattern routing between specialists?

Please tell me the demo isn't stitched. Slack rate limits alone will humble any agent that tries to be helpful in real time.

Every company launching a Slack agent this quarter and Slack itself is quietly building the same thing in-house. Good luck to the platform-risk crew.

What's the headcount that shipped this? Asking because if it's more than six I'm going to feel personally attacked.

This is genuinely one of the last SaaS-shaped launches we'll see. Everything after Q2 is going to be sold as agents or not sold at all.
