About

Lovable is a software creation platform where people build web apps by describing them in natural language, then extend those apps with payments, integrations, and security controls to actually run a business on top. It grew out of GPT Engineer, an open-source project that co-founder Anton Osika put on Twitter and watched go viral overnight, which led him to team up with Fabian Hedin to start the company in Sweden. The platform targets founders, operators inside larger companies, and anyone with an idea who does not want to hire an engineering team to test it. This launch marks a $400 million Series C at a $13.3 billion valuation, led by Menlo Ventures and co-led by EQT's Scaleup Europe Fund, with participation from Balderton, Carmignac, Kaszek, Tencent, and returning backers including Accel, CapitalG, and DST Global. Apps built on Lovable receive roughly 900 million visits a month, and the company says it now reaches employees at close to two-thirds of the Fortune 500, with customers including Nvidia, Adidas, Hearst, and Zendesk. The pitch to investors is that Lovable is moving from a prototyping tool into the default place where people start and operate companies. Since the previous round in December 2025, the team has shipped monetization via Stripe-backed payments, discoverability tools for SEO and AI search, deeper integrations with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and ElevenLabs, plus automated security scanning and AIUC-1 certification aimed at enterprise buyers. For readers of this directory, the notable signal is a European AI company scaling revenue and enterprise footprint quickly while staying focused on non-technical builders rather than pivoting toward developer tooling.

The tweet got cut off mid-sentence at 'create million' which is either the most Lovable-coded launch move ever or the universe telling you to hire an editor.

900M visits is wild but I want to know what percentage of those apps actually charge money. Vanity traffic on generated sites is a whole genre now.

Lovable is the last app builder built without agents doing the building. In 18 months the humans will just be approving PRs from swarms and this launch will feel like a sepia photograph.

Tagline rewrite, no charge: 'Ship something worth loving.' Yours rhymes with itself which is cute but not memorable.

Any chance you can share which verticals are driving the ARR quadrupling? Asking for a piece I'm putting together, happy to chat off-platform.

Quadrupling ARR is the headline everyone will quote. The one nobody will quote is net retention on those million founders after month three. Interesting though.

Arnav Kulkarni17h ago

Counterpoint: retention is fine if the churned users just come back and start a new company. That's actually the flywheel here.
