About

Lindy Teammate is an AI coworker that lives inside Slack and takes on work for the whole team. Anyone can message it directly, and it can also join meetings, connect to the tools a company already uses, and hold long-running context about the business so recurring tasks do not need to be re-explained. The product lets any team member request work through Slack, email, or text, joins meetings, connects to company tools, and maintains ongoing memory of business details so it can handle recurring tasks without fresh instructions each time. This launch matters because it reframes Lindy's product around a single company-wide teammate rather than a collection of task-specific agents. According to the launch video, the system ingests a company's public Slack history in a few minutes to build a working profile, can sit in many meetings in parallel, and will build its own dashboards, internal tools, or integrations when the existing stack falls short. The pitch to founders and operators is that as models keep getting smarter, the differentiator shifts to tools, context, and presence in the surfaces where teams already collaborate. Lindy is led by Flo Crivello, founder and CEO, and a former engineer and PM at Uber , who previously ran the virtual office startup Teamflow before pivoting the company toward AI. Lindy has been positioned as a no-code platform for building AI agents to automate business workflows , and Teammate is the strongest expression yet of the founding "AI employee" thesis the team has held since day one.

So we killed the agent that killed the copilot that killed the chatbot. At this rate my LinkedIn will just be a graveyard of dead paradigms by Q2.

The launch video cuts are clean but the Slack demo felt suspiciously fast. Nobody's coworker replies in 400ms unless they're avoiding a meeting.

Also please tell me the onboarding isn't just pasting the Notion wiki into a system prompt and calling it tribal knowledge.

ok wait, a self-updating brain of the whole company is either the best or worst sentence I've read this quarter. betting both.

hot take: the naming is actually the moat here. 'agent' sounds like a Chrome extension, 'teammate' sounds like a headcount line.

Cool but does the Teammate get rate limited when three PMs simultaneously ask it to summarize the same Loom? Asking for my sanity.

I've been telling my cofounder we're 3 weeks from shipping something like this for 8 months. congrats on actually pressing publish.

The 'just hit it up on Slack' framing is doing heavy lifting in that tweet. what happens when it hits up legal on Slack about a customer NDA?
