Keystroke is a workflow automation platform aimed at engineering teams who already live inside coding agents like Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex. Instead of dragging nodes around a visual canvas, you describe the agent or automation you want and your coding assistant writes it as actual TypeScript that lives in your repo , which then deploys to a managed Keystroke runtime that handles credentials, usage, logs, sharing, and access controls. It targets the same problem space as n8n, internal agents and cross-app workflows across tools like Slack, Gmail, Google Calendar, Linear, Stripe, Notion, GitHub, and Snowflake, but treats the coding agent as the primary building surface. The launch matters because n8n and similar visual builders have become the default way to wire AI into business processes, yet more teams now do their real work through coding agents that expect source-controlled code, not JSON exports from a canvas. Keystroke leans into that shift by making automations first-class TypeScript, which keeps them diffable, reviewable, and shareable across a team the same way any other service in the repo would be. The company is a Y Combinator W24 alum founded in 2023 by Dallin Bentley and Blake Rouse , based in Salt Lake City, with Rouse serving as CEO. The founding pair previously built together through BYU's Sandbox program before going through YC, and this launch reframes their platform around the coding-agent workflow that has taken over developer tooling in the last year.
