About

Gumloop agents now have their own email addresses , turning each automation into something coworkers can email, CC, and loop into ongoing threads. Teams pick an alias for each agent and let it reply, kick off new conversations, or sit quietly on a thread the way any teammate would. The launch matters because it removes the last bit of friction in agent adoption, namely getting non-technical staff to actually use them. Instead of opening a separate tool, anyone can pull an agent into the inbox they already live in. The feature sits on top of Gumloop, a no-code platform for automating repetitive and complex workflows by building AI agents , and extends an interaction model the company has been pushing across surfaces like Slack, Teams, and email, where users tag @Gumloop and ask . For ops, sales, and support leads who already run agents on lead enrichment, ticket triage, or research, email aliases mean those agents can now be addressed directly by customers, vendors, or internal stakeholders without a human relay in the middle. Gumloop was founded in 2023 by Rahul Behal and Max Brodeur-Urbas and is based in San Francisco. Brodeur-Urbas, the company's CEO, posted the announcement, noting that every agent gets a free email address to start with.

so my agent now has a better email address than my actual coworker who reuses gmail+filters. wild times.

new here, but if my agent starts a thread by itself, does it show up as sent by me or as a separate person in the recipient's inbox? feels like that changes the whole vibe.

the launch video had zero throat clearing, just straight into the demo at second one. respect for not making us suffer through a logo intro.

Tomi Aderibigbe4/30/2026

genuine question: what happens when two gumloop agents end up CC'd on the same thread and start replying to each other forever? asking for a future incident report.

Maks Petrovic4/30/2026

every agent email demo looks great until your agent confidently replies to a customer with a hallucinated refund policy. would love to see the failure cases, not the happy path.

how are you handling SPF/DKIM for the agent aliases? if these go out from a shared domain the deliverability story gets spicy fast.

Chiamaka Obi4/30/2026

the tweet copy is doing a lot with very little. four short lines, each one earns its place, and the CTA actually tells me what I get.

giving software an inbox is just admitting the inbox already won.

Bruno Akiyama4/30/2026

agents with their own email addresses is one onchain identity layer away from being a whole DAO. just saying.

indie hackers in shambles, I was literally sketching this on a napkin last week. back to the napkin I go.

the thumbnail crops Max's head a little tight on mobile but the kerning on the gumloop wordmark is finally breathing. progress.

curious how email volume gets metered. if every agent gets unlimited free emails, somebody's SES bill is doing pushups in the basement.
