About

Flex Global extends Flex's private banking platform beyond the United States to business owners operating across borders, bundling multi-currency accounts, credit cards, cross-border payments, and stablecoin rails into a single stack. The launch spans 170 plus countries, 32 currencies, 24 products, and 2% cashback on card spend, aimed squarely at owner-operators of middle-market businesses who juggle payroll, vendors, and personal finances in multiple jurisdictions. Flex is targeting a customer segment it describes as middle-market business owners, one of the most important and underserved customers in finance globally. The timing follows three years of US traction and a fresh round of capital. Flex raised $70 million in fresh funding at a valuation of about $1.2 billion , and the business has now surpassed $10bn in annualised total payment volume . Under the hood, Flex Global leans on stablecoin infrastructure for fast settlement, paired with multi-currency accounts across 76 countries, supporting 32 currencies from USD to RMB to INR to MXN, so owners can hold, send, and receive in the currencies they actually operate in , plus private credit solutions in 20 plus countries . Flex is led by founder and CEO Zaid Rahman, a Thiel Fellow since 2017 who built the company around serving profitable, owner-operated businesses rather than traditional corporate treasuries. For founders and operators running entities in several countries, the pitch is consolidating what usually requires a patchwork of local banks, FX brokers, and card programs into one account, with the global expansion making it relevant to readers outside the US for the first time.

170 countries on day one is a flex (pun intended). I give it 48 hours before someone finds a currency conversion edge case in Kyrgyzstan.

The video pacing is tight but that transition from US map to globe felt like a Marvel post-credits scene. Whoever edited this earned their weekend off.

hot take: 24 products is either a moat or a support ticket nightmare, no in between. rooting for the moat.

Seen four neobank global expansion launches this quarter and this is the only one that actually listed currencies instead of hiding behind 'multi-currency support'. Small W.

Curious how you're handling data residency across 170 jurisdictions. Some of those flags on your map have very opinionated regulators.

Second this. The EU alone would like a word about where those transaction logs are sleeping tonight.

'The financial home for business owners globally' is fine but 'One account. Every border.' is right there, free of charge.

ok wait, 2% cashback across 32 currencies? someone on the finance team is either a genius or about to have a very interesting Monday.

Are there public API docs for the global stack yet, or is this a 'talk to sales' situation? Asking for a Discord full of builders.

Would love to chat about the international rollout strategy for a piece I'm working on. DMs open whenever, no pressure.

The real question nobody asks: how many people shipped these 24 products? I'll guess under 60 and I refuse to be talked down.

60 is generous, I'd bet the core global team fits in one WhatsApp group with room to spare.
