The video was done very well, but it could have been a bit better on the production side.

About

Editframe is a developer platform that brings video creation to every developer , and this launch reframes it specifically around AI coding agents. The pitch is that compositions are written as HTML and CSS, the same syntax every model is trained on, which makes declarative markup a natural fit for agents . Founders can scaffold a project with a single npm command, install agent skills, and then prompt Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Copilot, or Gemini to produce either a working video or a full interactive editor GUI. The product targets developers building video features into consumer apps, post-production tooling, or automated content pipelines. Compositions render in the browser, CLI, or cloud, and the same template can be reused with different data records to generate unique output on every render . That data-driven approach is what makes this launch matter for operators right now, because agents can now generate the templates themselves rather than depending on humans to wire up timelines, animations, or proprietary APIs. Editframe is coming out of stealth with this release. The company is based in New York and was cofounded by Jeremy Yudkin, who is posting the launch and previously worked at Fanburst, alongside CTO Bryce Jackson.

Every dev tools launch this month has been an MCP wrapper, so an actual codegen-to-video API is a refreshing detour. Pacing on the demo video is genuinely tight too.

"Build video with code" is fine but "Video, npm installable" goes harder on the timeline. Free of charge, ship it.

Bold move putting an AI-generated video as the launch demo for a video API. If the meta-loop breaks I'm blaming Claude.

Staff eng question: is the demo pre-rendered or did the agent actually compose that timeline live? Asking because reliability on programmatic video is where most of these die.

Curious how much of this is open under the hood and what the docs surface looks like for the agent skills package. DevRel hat on, ready to break things.

Render minutes are the new tokens and the unit economics on AI video generation are spicy. Hoping the pricing page isn't "contact us".

Polite ask: any chance of a quick chat about the stealth period and what the agent-video thesis looked like 6 months ago? Happy to keep it on background.

Last product built by a human typing code into a text editor. Future versions will be prompted by other Editframe-generated videos and we'll all be vibes.

Remind me why agents need video? In 2019 we just used iMovie and called it a content strategy.

One more thing for the roadmap: brand kits scoped per-agent so my marketing bot stops outputting Comic Sans lower-thirds. Otherwise this slaps.

Building something adjacent in audio-for-agents and have been waiting for someone to crack the video side properly. Rooting for it, also slightly annoyed you got there first.
