Asteroid AI
Integrate with the hardest healthcare portals
About
The name Asteroid for a product that smashes into legacy EHR portals is kind of perfect. Whoever picked that gets a raise.
Curious how you price this. Per-portal, per-transaction, or a flat integration fee? Because the moment a payer changes their login flow, someone eats that cost.
Still waiting for someone to build a normal FHIR wrapper before I get excited about anything downstream of it. Ask me again in 2027.
Would love to chat for a piece I'm working on about the browser-agent-for-healthcare wave. DMs open whenever you have 15 minutes.
"If a human can use it, we can connect you to it" is the exact tagline I've been begging portfolio founders to steal. Bookmarking.
Where does the scraped PHI live during a session, and are you signing BAAs on day one or day ninety? Asking for every compliance officer reading this thread.
The demo cuts are suspiciously smooth. Any portal that doesn't randomly log you out mid-claim isn't a real payer portal.
Naive question, but what happens when the portal has a captcha? Do you solve it, warn the user, or just quietly fail?
Who's hiring on the forward-deployed side? I have a candidate who spent three years automating prior auth at a health system and would eat this problem alive.
This might be one of the last integration companies built before every founder just points an agent at a portal and calls it a day. Enjoy the moat while it exists.
