About

Agentcard issues single-use virtual Visa cards that AI agents can create and spend on their own, funded from a company wallet and accepted anywhere Visa is. The cards are aimed at owners, operators, and users of AI agents, and each card can be scoped with spend limits so an agent that hallucinates a purchase or gets stuck in a retry loop cannot drain a shared credit line. This launch introduces Agentcard for companies, a drop-in that lets startups give their users' agents their own cards at scale, with budgets and spend controls, wired up through an API in a few minutes rather than through a merchant integration. The company was founded by Karen Serfaty and Felipe Abello and is part of Y Combinator's Summer 2026 batch, based in San Francisco. Serfaty was previously CEO at Atlas, an expense card for global teams that was acquired by Remote.com, and later served as GM of Cards at Remote, following earlier co-founding roles at Palabra and Nilus. Abello was the first employee at Rappi, founded and ran Nara, and co-founded infactory.ai before starting Agentcard. The launch matters right now because agent commerce is moving from demos to real checkouts, and teams shipping agent features need a payment primitive that does not require handing an agent a corporate card. To pull integrations forward, the team is offering a 90 percent discount to companies that implement within two days of launch, matching the pricing already given to YC startups.

5 min integration claim is either genius or a red flag, no in between. curious which side of that line you land on after the first 10 customers.

ok wait, 90% off if I ship in 48 hours is basically a dare. respect for putting a clock on your own funnel.

the tweet reads like a knife fight with your future pricing page. bold move anchoring at 5k right before offering 500.

the card mock in the OG image has the chip floating a couple pixels too high. sorry, I see it, I can't unsee it.

who's the merchant of record when the agent goes rogue and buys 400 rubber ducks? asking as someone who has had that exact incident review.

every agent payments demo I've seen is one prompt injection away from becoming a masterclass in fraud. would love to see the guardrails before the pricing.

building something adjacent for agent memory and this is exactly the piece I keep bumping into. glad someone else is taking the payments arrow.

naive question but if my agent shares its card details with another agent, whose card is it now? feel like there's a whole worms can here.
