About

GutGutGoose makes personalized probiotics for people dealing with chronic gut symptoms like bloating, energy crashes, and brain fog that generic supplements and standard clinical workups have not resolved. After subscribing, customers send in an at-home stool sample, and the company uses AI, microbiome sequencing and metabolic modeling to design a formula matched to that individual gut. The platform analyses over 300 bacterial strains to build the blend, and the customer receives a plain-language report explaining what is happening in their microbiome alongside the pill itself. What sets this launch apart is the follow-through. Rather than shipping a static supplement, GutGutGoose retests every three months and reformulates based on how the microbiome has shifted, which the company positions as proof the product is doing something beyond placebo. The launch tweet also flags a satisfaction guarantee tied to that retesting loop, aimed at a category where efficacy is famously hard to demonstrate to individual buyers. The company was founded by childhood friends Anis Mihrshahi and Leon Mojarrabi, who are students at the University of Southern Queensland and Griffith University, respectively , and is relocating from Queensland to San Francisco for Y Combinator. Gutgutgoose has joined Y Combinator, securing US$500K to develop personalized probiotics using AI, microbiome sequencing and metabolic modeling , and this launch marks its public debut to US customers as part of the S26 batch.

The name is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. I will absolutely say GutGutGoose out loud in a pharmacy just to see the pharmacist's face.

Tweet got cut off mid-sentence at the most important part. You promised us a refund reveal and left us on a cliffhanger like it's a Netflix series.

The trillion dollar line is a hook but you buried the retest guarantee. Rewrite the first six words and your CTR probably doubles.

Retesting to prove you aren't placebo is the actual pitch. Bury the lede much? That should have been the first line, not paragraph three.

Naive question but how do I collect the sample. Is there a kit. Is it what I think it is. Asking because your landing page is a little shy about it.

Free rewrite: "Your gut, sequenced. Your probiotic, engineered. Your results, proven." You can Venmo me later.

How big is the team shipping this? Personalized manufacturing plus lab retesting sounds like the opposite of a two-person garage op.

Revolutionized a trillion dollar industry is a bold claim to make on day one of YC S26. The gut is patient, the market less so.

Curious what your unit economics look like when every pill is bespoke. Personalized SKUs and cold-chain logistics have historically been where wellness dreams go to die.

If it's truly personalized per user, what does your batch process look like at scale? Or is the first cohort basically hand-pipetted in a lab coat photo op.

A pill for your microbiome, a survey for your soul, a refund for your doubts. Weirdly, I'm in.
